VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - A Vancouver, Wash., grain terminal and a union say they’re still bargaining in hopes of resolving their long-running contract dispute.
The Columbian reports (https://is.gd/6s1JY1 ) that United Grain Corp. at the Port of Vancouver and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union are also each disputing National Labor Relations Board allegations of unfair labor practices.
ILWU spokeswoman Jennifer Sargent said Wednesday that contract negotiations continue. Pacific Northwest Grain Handlers Association spokesman Pat McCormick says “negotiations are scheduled and we expect those negotiations to occur in the presence of a federal mediator.”
