PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - An $8 million increase in revenue this year will allow Multnomah County some additional spending.
County Chairwoman Marissa Madrigal plans to spend more than $2 million on planning for a new courthouse.
The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/RSpnV0) the county also plans to spend $1 million toward a new Health Department headquarters, $1 million for improvements to the phone system, $700,000 to update Animal Services facilities and $500,000 to replace county ballot-counting machines.
