BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Portions of a popular 92-mile recreational trail in western Michigan have reopened after the removal of storm debris, mostly in Mecosta and Montcalm counties.
Trees, deep water and other debris forced the Department of Natural Resources last week to close parts of the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park.
The trail runs from Cadillac in Wexford County to Comstock Park in Kent County, just north of Grand Rapids.
