PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search for a person of interest in a Petersburg fire that killed four people.

Media outlets report that the Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of 47-year-old Alexander Roosevelt Hill Jr.

Hill was scheduled to be tried Wednesday in Petersburg Circuit Court on a charge of making a telephone death threat last December to a relative of the fire’s victims.

Petersburg Commonwealth’s Attorney Cassandra Conover tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1l6cNfd ) that the judge issued an arrest warrant for Hill after he failed to appear for his trial.

The fire occurred April 19. Police say the victims were three women and a young boy.
