IOWA FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the names of officers involved in the fatal shooting of a man in an Iowa Falls standoff.

The state Department of Public Safety says Trooper Jeremy Schaffer and Trooper Kyle Haack are members of the Iowa State Patrol. Officer Joe Metz and Officer Bryce Knudsen are with the Iowa Falls Police Department.

The fifth officer performs undercover work in the state Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

Authorities say the officers shot their weapons at 25-year-old Leighton C. Fitz on April 17 during a standoff at a house in Iowa Falls. Fitz was accused of disobeying orders and reaching for a weapon before he was shot. An autopsy shows he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The officers are on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
