ST. LOUIS (AP) - A former employee of a large beer distributor faces a drunk-driving charge involving a fatal pedestrian accident in west St. Louis County.

KMOV-TV (bit.ly/1iPWS3S ) reports that 44-year-old Brian J. Miller of Fenton is accused of driving while intoxicated and careless operation of a vehicle in connection with the October 2013 death of 43-year-old Mona Moynihan.

She was killed while trying to cross Interstate 44 in Fenton at night. Police say Miller was driving a Ford Explorer owned by Grey Eagle Distributors, his employer at the time.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Miller admitted to drinking all day and had a blood alcohol level that was roughly twice the legal limit.

Prosecutors say they are not pursuing manslaughter charges against Miller since the victim was also intoxicated.
