PLANT CITY, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say the driver of a logging truck was injured when a train crashed into his truck at a Tampa Bay area rail road crossing.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that Roberto Febles was crossing tracks near Plant City Wednesday when a southbound CSX cargo train hit the trailer. The flatbed trailer was loaded with timber that Febles had just picked up from nearby Cone Ranch.

Officials say the trailer and cab were dragged about 1000 feet before coming to a stop.

Febles was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported among the train’s crew.

No charges were filed immediately. Authorities were continuing to investigate.
