RAYVILLE, La. (AP) - State police say a 34-year-old Rayville died in a head-on collision in south Richland Parish.
The accident happened Tuesday around 8 p.m. on Whitehall Road south of Rayville.
Trooper Albert Paxton says a pickup driven by a 16-year-old was northbound when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck an SUV driven by Brandon Rushing.
Paxton says Rushing was pronounced dead at the scene. He says the juvenile was taken to a hospital in Rayville with minor injuries.
Paxton says the juvenile was issued a citation for driving left of center.
The crash remains under investigation.
