NEW YORK (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a 9-year-old boy who was found unconscious on top of scaffolding outside a 30-story residential building in the Bronx.

Police say the boy, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene at 20 Richmond Plaza in Morris Heights. It happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police did not say if the boy lived in the building or how he came to be on the scaffolding.



The medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.
