LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) - Police have booked a 47-year-old Livingston man with 100 counts of child pornography.

Laura Gerdes Colligan, a Louisiana Attorney General’s Office spokeswoman, says Richard Mudd was booked Tuesday into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on 50 counts of possessing and 50 counts of distributing pornography involving juveniles.

The arrest followed an investigation by the attorney general’s Cyber Crime Unit, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security.

If convicted, Colligan says Mudd faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

It was unclear whether Mudd has an attorney.
