RUTLEDGE, Tenn. (AP) - One of five former Grainger County jail employees indicted on a variety of charges has entered a guilty plea.

The Citizen Tribune (https://bit.ly/1hoS804) reports 24-year-old Jessie Eugene Cummings pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of sexual conduct with an inmate and two counts of officer misconduct.

Cummings was one of five former jail employees indicted by a Grainger County grand jury on various charges stemming from an investigation after three inmates escaped from the facility. The other four have court dates pending.



The newspaper reports Cummings is set to be sentenced on June 16.
