PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona bill that would have restricted state agencies from further regulating property rights and businesses has been vetoed.
Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed House Bill 2459 on Wednesday. The bill would have banned state agencies from imposing new regulations on businesses and property owners.
Brewer said she has already imposed moratoriums on new rules and has implemented reforms that make it easier to create jobs. She said the bill could have unintended consequences by hindering state agencies from implementing state law.
