Police say the boyfriend got out of the car and was struck by the passenger door.

They say Porter then drove the vehicle forward through a driveway gate and struck her boyfriend and his father.

The father, Larry Johnson, was treated at a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries. The son suffered minor injuries.

It was unclear whether Porter has an attorney.
