LEECHBURG, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania school district has evacuated nearly 1,000 students after a bomb threat.

The three Leechburg Area schools evacuated Tuesday at about 9 a.m., the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (https://bit.ly/1poeXLi ) reports. The schools are about 35 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

District interim superintendent Frank Prazenica says there were no injuries. The threat against the high school was found in a bathroom Tuesday morning, but the middle and elementary school were evacuated to be safe.

Prazenica says the schools will remained closed until police report that the buildings are clear and safe.
