ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division says the reward for information that helps solve the shooting of a fawn last month near Roseburg has grown to $5,500.

Wildlife officials say the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust have offered a maximum $5,000 for information leading to the conviction of those responsible. That amount is in addition to a maximum $500 reward originally offered by the Oregon Hunters Association.

The fawn was shot late on the night of March 28 on Melqua Road and its body was left in a roadside ditch.
