LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Registrations are still being accepted for the Run Wild event at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland in eastern Nebraska.
There will be 10k and 5k runs over the park’s scenic dirt trails on May 17. Children may enjoy the one-mile run.
Before and after the races, Raptor Recovery will have live bird demonstrations.
The one-mile run begins at 8 a.m., and the 5k and 10k races begin at 8:30 a.m.
Registration for the one-mile run costs $12. Registration for the 5k and 10k costs $35 until May 2 and $40 after May 2. Register at RunWildNE.org.
Proceeds benefit the Wildlife Conservation Fund, which works to save Nebraska’s wildlife and wild places.
