NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are identifying a woman fatally struck by an SUV as she crossed a highway near New Castle.
Police say 38-year-old Kimberly Cag of Delaware City was trying to cross northbound Dupont Highway from the median on Monday night when she was hit. Police say Cag was not in a crosswalk when she stepped into the path of a Mercedes-Benz SUV. Cag suffered multiple traumatic injuries and police say she was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash is under investigation and police say no charges have been filed.
