MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) - A Middlesboro man has pleaded not guilty to stabbing and killing his son during an argument earlier this year.

WYMT-TV in Hazard reports (https://bit.ly/1ic7GEB ) that 51-year-old Garry Baker Jr., entered the plea during a court appearance Monday in Bell County. He’s charged with murder in the February death of 24-year-old Joshua Baker.

Joshua Baker’s mother Angela Johnson and sister Tiffany Overton were in court. They were wore white ribbons in memory of their son and brother.



Garry Baker has claimed self-defense. His attorney declined comment Monday.

The judge set a pre-trial conference for May 19th.
