Ex-Georgia teacher arrested on child sex charges

RIVERDALE, Ga. (AP) - Bond has been denied for a suburban Atlanta high school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.

WSB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1iHRwHR ) 29-year-old Roderick Winslow Arrington, a former teacher at Drew High School in Riverdale was arrested on charges of child sexual exploitation, sexual assault of a person in custody or school and possession of a weapon at school.

Clayton County Public Schools spokeswoman Vicki Gavalas says Arrington is no longer employed with the district, and officials are working to ensure the safety of their students.

Arrington is being held in the Clayton County jail and it’s unclear if he has an attorney.
