INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A car has struck a school bus in Indianapolis, injuring about a half-dozen children.

A 16-year-old girl told police that someone shot at her car Tuesday and as she fled her car spun out of control and she struck the side of the school bus.

The bus was carrying about a half-dozen children. Police say seven of the children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

WRTV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1lBqyRw ) that the car’s driver said her leg hurt, but police don’t believe she was shot. However, they do believe there is a bullet hole in her car.

Police say the girl won’t say who she believes shot at her car.

Officers found shell casings at a nearby apartment complex.

It wasn’t clear which school the children attended.
