FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona prison inmate faces a 28-year prison sentence for the stabbing of another inmate at a state prison in Florence.

The Pinal County Attorney’s Office says 25-year-old Vance Johnson was sentenced last week in the Jan. 11, 2009 attack in which the other prisoner suffered a severe brain injury,

A Superior Court jury acquitted Johnson of attempted first-degree murder but convicted him of dangerous or deadly assault.
