TYLER, Texas (AP) - Tyler police are trying to determine if thieves who swooped down on a Cadillac dealer and made off with wheels and tires from about 20 vehicles are connected to a similar theft in the Dallas area.

Police were called Sunday morning to the Wagner Cadillac lot in Tyler where the 20-inch chrome wheels and tires were removed from the vehicles.

Police say dealer officials estimate the loss at least $60,000 but that doesn’t include property damage.

Tyler police say whoever did it was well organized and worked quickly. Wheel locks didn’t deter the thieves and the vehicles were left on blocks.

Some of the lights on the lot also had been disabled.

A Chevrolet dealer in Richardson was hit similarly last week and lost tires and wheels from 29 vehicles.
