ABINGDON, Va. (AP) - Three finalists for the presidency of Virginia Highlands Community College are visiting the school this week.

The candidates are Susan Short, Barbara Fuller and John Hogan.

Short is associate vice president for engagement at Virginia Tech. Fuller is vice president for academic affairs and student services at Southwest Virginia Community College. Hogan is associate vice president for student affairs at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana.



The Bristol Herald Courier (https://bit.ly/PmwsLq ) reports that Short will visit the Abingdon school on Wednesday, followed by Fuller on Thursday and Hogan on Friday.

Public forums with the candidates are scheduled each day from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Virginia Highlands President Ron Profitt is retiring at the end of June.
