FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a search is underway for a person who may have drowned in the Sheyenne River at Valley City.
Fire Chief Gary Retterath tells KFGO-AM that the person was in a rubber raft that flipped early Monday morning. Retterath says two others made it to shore.
He says searchers have been using boats and walking along river banks looking for the missing person.
Retterath says the river is high and dangerous. He says flows at Baldhall Dam have been reduced to help aid in the search.
