BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A man who led police on a vehicle chase through a North Dakota town and then fought with officers says he will plead guilty in federal court.
The incident happened near New Town in April 2013. Authorities say Dezmond Andres Sr. was pulled over for a traffic violation, but sped off after a passenger left the vehicle. Andres eventually stopped after his front tires blew out.
Court documents show that Andres tried to take refuge in a semi-trailer and was eventually subdued with use of a Taser.
Andres faces a maximum penalty of eight years in prison.
