KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) - A man is in critical condition after an Osceola County sheriff’s deputy shot him during a traffic stop.
The shooting happened Sunday night in the Indian Point subdivision.
Sheriff’s officials say the deputy was arrested the man for a probation violation. The man attempted to run and the deputy fired at him after an altercation.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. The deputy received minor injuries during the altercation.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is handling the investigation.
