DENVER (AP) - Authorities say an inmate has been found dead in the downtown Denver jail.
The Denver Post reports (https://tinyurl.com/lfzaw5t ) the man’s body was found in a cell early Monday.
Sheriff Gary Wilson tells the newspaper the man took his own life. An autopsy is planned Tuesday, and the coroner hasn’t ruled on the cause or manner of death.
The inmate’s name wasn’t released.
Police are investigating.
