CARLSTADT, N.J. (AP) - A house fire has killed a 76-year-old New Jersey woman not long before she was to go to her son’s house nearby for Easter dinner.

Authorities are trying to determine what caused the fire in the Carlstadt home of Dolores Bellina.

A fire was reported at 9:18 a.m., just minutes after Fred Bellina called to wish her a happy Easter.

She was found dead near the front door of her one-story home.

Fred Bellina tells The Record newspaper (https://bit.ly/1ffpyOX ) that she was due at his home later in the day to celebrate the holiday.
