WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - West Des Moines police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found beside a burning vehicle.
Police say they were called Sunday morning to a vehicle fire. When officers arrived, they found a body lying next to a burning vehicle.
Investigators haven’t determined the identity of the dead person.
Police are working on the investigation with the West Des Moines Fire Department, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations Crime Lab and the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
