MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say an Alabama truck driver who was walking alongside a central Georgia road was killed after two vehicles collided in the street, and one of the vehicles struck him.
The Telegraph newspaper of Macon reports (https://bit.ly/1hZWJLf) that the original accident on Saturday afternoon was a relatively minor one. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said no one inside the vehicles was hurt.
Jones identified the Alabama man as 43-year-old Kenneth Alan Craig of Montgomery.
Jones said Craig had parked his truck near the intersection of Jeffersonville and Irwinton roads, and was apparently walking to a Family Dollar store. Jones said Craig was not in the road when he was hit around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at The Medical Center of Central Georgia at 2:14 p.m.
