SCOTLAND, Conn. (AP) - A woman was pulled from a burning home in eastern Connecticut and flown to a hospital with a burn treatment center.

Firefighters from several towns responded to the fire in Scotland Tuesday night and rescued the woman from a second-floor balcony.

Medics brought the woman to Windham Hospital, and a Lifestar helicopter crew later took her to Bridgeport Hospital. Her name and condition haven’t been released.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury.

Investigators remain at the scene Wednesday morning trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
