RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Police in western South Dakota say officers have arrested a man who was reportedly seeing chugging mouthwash at a motel.

Rapid City Police say the man was arrested on Tuesday. He is being held on a $300 bond at the Pennington County Jail.

Police say a witness reported seeing the man drinking Listerine.



In South Dakota, ingesting a substance, except an alcoholic beverage, for the purpose of becoming intoxicated is a Class 1 misdemeanor.

The Rapid City Journal (https://bit.ly/1hiw5rF ) reports officers found the man in the restroom of the Imperial Inn motel.
