JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - A man suspected of killing a black bear in a Juneau neighborhood will make a court appearance next week.
KINY-radio (https://bit.ly/1c8rBVu) reports 36-year-old Daniel Babcock is charged with taking big game in a closed area.
He was issued a summons to appear April 10 in Juneau District Court.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers say Babcock in November shot an arrow from a compound bow and mortally wounded a black bear in a Mendenhall Valley neighborhood.
Troopers say the bear jumped a fence and died in his neighbor’s backyard.
The carcass was discovered Friday when snow melted.
