LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas homicide detectives are investigating after a body was found in the Clark County Wetlands Park.

Officer Laura Meltzer says police received a report of gunfire in the area a little after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

She says police later found a male victim who appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Clark County coroner’s officials couldn’t immediately release the person’s identity or his cause of death on Wednesday morning.

The nature preserve is located on the eastern side of the Las Vegas valley and features a visitors’ center and walking paths.
