LEBANON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities in Hunterdon County say a missing woman with Alzheimer’s disease has been found unharmed.

County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III says 71-year-old Nancy Hogan was found shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday, about a half-mile away from her home on Kubin Court in Lebanon Township. She was hospitalized in stable condition, but further details were not disclosed.

Kearns said Hogan had walked away from her home around 8 p.m. Friday. She was described as being in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and unable to communicate, and officials feared for her well-being as the overnight temperatures fell into the low 30s.

Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the extensive search, which involved police officers, police dogs and a state police helicopter. The county also utilized its reverse 911 system to notify residents about Hogan’s disappearance and seek their help in locating her.

Authorities say a resident who received one of the calls found Hogan on his property, but further details were not disclosed.
