OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) - One person was killed and another was injured in a central New Jersey crash that involved five vehicles.

Old Bridge police say 53-year-old Boris Khaskes of Manalapan was pronounced dead at the scene of the Route 9 crash, which occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Friday.

It’s not yet clear what caused the accident, which involved vehicles in the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway. And authorities have not released information about the injured person, except to say the person was not traveling in the same vehicle as Khaskes.
