FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting of a Flagstaff home that has left the victim clinging to life.
Flagstaff police say 54-year-old George Azar is being held on suspicion of second-degree attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was booked Thursday night into the Coconino County Jail. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
Police say 38-year-old Larry Hernandez has life-threatening injuries and remains in intensive care at Flagstaff Medical Center.
The Arizona Daily Sun reports that Azar and Hernandez worked together and may have been in a dispute over money.
Police say the shooting occurred at Azar’s house.
Officers executed a search warrant at the home and say they found a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.
