Pedestrian struck by car, killed in Cobb County

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a car in northern Cobb County.

Kennesaw police Officer Scott Luther said the crash happened around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday along southbound Cobb Parkway, just south of Mack Dobbs Road.

Luther tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://bit.ly/1qIYcb1) that the pedestrian was walking on the shoulder of the parkway and a tan passenger vehicle struck him.

The unidentified 45-year-old man died at the scene.

Police said the driver remained at the scene, and authorities have not determined whether charges will be filed.
