ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (AP) - A fire has forced the evacuation of a northern New Jersey hotel.
Authorities tell The Record (https://bit.ly/Qq8aB4) that the fire at the Red Carpet Inn in Elmwood Park caused three minor injuries.
The newspaper reports the fire started at approximately 1:30 p.m. on the first floor and spread to the second and third floors.
The hotel is on Route 46 near the intersection with the Garden State Parkway. The fire forced the temporary closure of eastbound Route 46.
