ERWINVILLE, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a fatal crash in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Trooper Jared Sandifer says 56-year-old Rurid James of Erwinville was eastbound on Louisiana Highway 620 early Wednesday morning when his car ran off the road and into a ditch, then struck a culvert and overturned.
Sandifer says James was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
