Woman killed in Gulf Shores motorcycle crash

GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP) - Police in Gulf Shores say a woman is dead after a weekend crash involving a motorcycle.

WKRG-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1gvaj8g ) the deadly wreck happened Sunday on Highway 59 near the Cobb Theater. Witnesses told police a motorcycle collided with another vehicle. Only one fatality was reported.

Police had to re-route traffic through the parking lot of a supermarket as investigators worked to clear the crash scene Sunday.

The name of the woman killed was not immediately released by authorities.
