AZTEC, N.M. (AP) - Authorities in San Juan County say a former sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and accused of harassing and stalking his estranged wife.
The Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Steve Saiz was arrested Thursday. He’d been taken to a hospital for treatment after he surrendered to authorities at his home on Wednesday.
It’s not immediately known if he has a lawyer.
The Sheriff’s Office says Saiz was fired in 2008 in connection with the firing of gunshots into the air during a domestic dispute.
