MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Berkeley County is pulling out of the Berkeley/Jefferson Day Report Center.

Media outlets report that the County Commission voted last week to not fund the center for the 2014-2015 fiscal year. Commission members cited concerns about the program’s cost compared to the number of county residents served by it.

The center will be relocated from Martinsburg to Jefferson County by July 1.

Center executive director Ronda Eddy says the Jefferson County Commission has agreed to take over the program.

The center serves adult offenders, including those with histories of substance abuse or dependency, anger management or domestic relations problems.
