AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities have charged two men with firing gunshots outside an Augusta nightclub.
The Augusta Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1ihsvD6 ) both men were arrested early Sunday after sheriff’s deputies broke up a fight at Alter Egoz Sports Bar & Grill. The shots were fired in the parking lot.
A nightclub patron told deputies the shooters fled in a dark Cadillac, and one was soon stopped on Gordon Highway. Deputies found two 9 mm handguns in the car and an unfired bullet that matched a spent casing discovered outside the club.
Bryan DeShawn Dilworth and Rashaad Zotaud Dally of Hephzibah were jailed on charges of reckless conduct and discharging a firearm near a highway. Dilworth told deputies men from the club shot at them first. It was not immediately known if they had attorneys.
