19-year-old killed on highway near Toppenish

TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) - A 19-year-old White Swan man walking on Highway 97 near Toppenish Saturday night was struck by a car and killed.

The Washington State Patrol says the driver was not injured, and troopers are investigating why the victim, Nathaniel Washington, was in the roadway.
