RANDLEMAN, N.C. (AP) - Randolph County deputies say a 21-year-old man wanted in a stabbing death was arrested while trying to board a plane to Mexico.

Authorities said a friend found 43-year-old Eduarrdo Hurtado suffering from several stab wounds in his home around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies say they identified Edgar Ramirez as a suspect in the killing, and arrested him at the Piedmont Triad International Airport as he tried to get on a plane.

Authorities did not say what linked him to the slaying or give a motive for the stabbing.

Investigators say Hurtado had been dead for several hours before his body was found.
