WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The Williston City Commission has delayed action on a spur to a planned rail loading facility.

The Williston Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1jAdNqy ) that commissioners told the New Frontier Group needed to consider drainage and traffic studies before making a final decision on the project.

Commissioners earlier had approved a request to annex 217 acres for the planned rail loading facility.

The project has been opposed by some citizens who worry about increased traffic and noise.
