CHICAGO (AP) - Shootings across Chicago have left two people dead and at least 14 others wounded over the past 24 hours.
Among the dead was a 17-year-old girl hit multiple times in the upper body during a shooting Friday afternoon that also wounded two men in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
Police say that at least some of the weekend violence appeared to be gang-related.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/1n2VrSG ) that no one was in custody in any of the shootings.
In another incident, a car fleeing from police crashed into a pole in the West Side Humboldt Park area, killing the driver and injuring three passengers, including an infant.
Officers saw shots being fired from the vehicle, but the driver took off when police tried to pull him over.
