NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - A man and a woman have died in a crash after an SUV went out of control and struck a tree near New Castle.
Paramedics were called to the scene just after midnight Saturday near Commons Boulevard and Airport Road. Investigators say it appears the Jeep Grand Cherokee was rounding a curve at a high speed and lost control. The vehicle flipped over and struck a tree before rolling back onto its wheels
Delaware State Police say 31-year-old Rhashem Revelle of Wilmington and 27-year-old Tynisha Scott of Bear were killed in the crash. They had seatbelts on but suffered severe head injuries.
Police say 26-year-old Andre Revelle of Wilmington was in the back seat. He was removed from the SUV and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
