FREDERICA, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say one woman is dead and two people are injured after a crash near Frederica.
Investigators say an Acura struck an embankment and overturned late Friday night on Barratts Chapel Road. A 10-year-old girl was able get out and flag down another car for help. But an approaching SUV struck the disabled Acura, and one of the vehicles struck the girl.
Police say 42-year-old Tricia Martin of Camden was ejected from the Acura and was thrown onto the roadway. She died later at a hospital. Police say 10-year-old Taryn Martin was critically injured.
Police say 49-year-old Richard Triola, the driver of the SUV, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
